Iceland approves 12 new personal names

Iceland’s Personal Names Committee has approved 12 new names, mbl.is reports. The names will be added to the country’s personal names register.

The approved female names are Mila, Rúa, Drangey and Aelía.

The approved male names are Araþon, Hugríkur, Örri, Jean, Lerkir, Húrinn and Herner.

The neuter name Blóm was also approved.
