Duell Oyj, a company specializing in the import and wholesale of motorcycle, snowmobile, and racing boat accessories and spare parts, has announced the initiation of restructuring negotiations aimed at enhancing its operational efficiency. The company intends to align its operations and job roles with the current market situation.
The negotiations will involve all 220 employees across the Duell Group, with the goal of achieving annual cost savings of approximately one million euros for the fiscal year 2025. About half of these savings are expected to come from a reduction in job roles, along with improvements in operational models and reorganizations. The remainder will be generated through other efficiency measures. The company is also considering layoffs as part of its cost-saving strategies.
Negotiations, which commence today, will affect both Duell Bike-Center Oy in Finland and Duell AB in Sweden. Duell estimates that the need for job reductions across the entire group could involve up to 20 positions, with a maximum of 9 of those cuts occurring in Finland. Founded in 1983 in Mustasaari, Ostrobothnia, Duell imports a variety of products related to motorcycles, snowmobiles, and competitive boating.
