Weather update: northeasterly winds and varied conditions across Greenland
Northeasterly winds are moving across Greenland, influenced by a low-pressure system in the southern sea and an extensive high-pressure area over the land. While some regions will experience stronger winds, many areas will have calmer conditions. The weather is largely bright and beautiful across the southern and western parts of the country, with minor rain showers or snow flurries expected in the northeastern regions and potentially on the coasts as well.
Wind speeds are expected to decrease throughout the day; however, overall weather patterns will remain similar. Tomorrow, a low-pressure system will form along the southwestern coast, leading to expectations of sleet or rain in that area later in the day.
On Wednesday, winds will shift to the north, bringing light snow showers in the northern parts of Greenland while southern areas will enjoy clearer skies. Temperatures will be relatively cool, with highs reaching around 9 degrees Celsius in the southernmost parts during the day.
