A doctor is currently under investigation in two police districts for alleged sexual offenses against two male patients. His medical license has been suspended for six months. One patient, referred to as “Trond,” accuses the doctor of exploiting his trust and coercing him into sexual acts. The doctor denies all charges. Initially, Trond’s case was dismissed but was reopened after the doctor was arrested in another district for a similar incident.

During the summer, the doctor was arrested in Trøndelag following allegations of sexual misconduct with a patient. It was revealed that a prior complaint against him had been dismissed by law enforcement. Trond, who had a troubled past, sought help from his general practitioner in Akershus. Initially, he felt cared for by the doctor, who even gave him a comforting hug. However, over time, the sessions escalated into inappropriate conduct, as Trond claims the doctor encouraged him to undress and engage in sexual activities.

Feeling trapped and confused during these encounters, Trond eventually severed ties with the doctor. After years of reflecting on the experience, he chose to confront the doctor again, expressing anger for the harm caused. In August 2023, Trond reported the doctor to the East police district, initiating an investigation for abuse of power. Subsequently, the doctor filed a counter-complaint for extortion.

Further complicating matters, another male patient came forward with similar allegations against the doctor, leading to a renewed investigation focused on previous misconduct cases involving the doctor. Following these developments, the Health Board suspended the doctor’s license for six months, and Trond hopes these revelations prevent others from suffering similar experiences.
