The opening of the Seltjarnarnes swimming pool was postponed this morning due to glass shards found on the pool deck and in the water. Sævar Þórs Þórisson, an employee at World Class in Seltjarnarnes, stated that the source of the glass fragments is still unknown, although the glass was brown bottle glass.

Reports indicate that there was a celebration hosted by Grótta at the Gróttuheimili venue, located next to the pool, last night. Sævar mentioned that there are security cameras in the area and that video footage will be reviewed tomorrow for further investigation.

While the main swimming pool remains closed, the hot tubs are still open to the public. The pool is expected to reopen shortly after noon once the cleaning process has been completed.
