Left Party member Ali Hadrous resigns following antisemitic posts in Landskrona

Ali Hadrous, a member of the Left Party in Landskrona, who has been suspended from party activities for sharing a series of antisemitic posts on social media, has resigned from the party. This development follows an ongoing expulsion process within the Left Party. Deputy Party Secretary Maria Forsberg expressed that Hadrous’s decision to leave was not surprising.

Hadrous has not yet decided whether he will resign from his position on the Landskrona municipal council or choose to become an independent politician. Previously, Orwa Kadoura, the former vice chair of the party in Malmö, also departed from the party after facing similar criticism for posting antisemitic content online.

In Göteborg, Kristofer Lundberg, the chair of the party association in Angered, has been temporarily suspended after it was revealed by the site Doku that he expressed support for the PLFP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine), which is classified as a terrorist organization. Lundberg is also involved in a criminal investigation.
