Antti Lehtinen has been appointed as the CEO of the company behind the Porin Suomi Arena. He will officially begin his role at the start of December. The company was established in late summer by MTV and the City of Pori to guide the future of this social festival, with both parties acting as equal partners.
Lehtinen previously held senior positions in Nordic operations at the communications agency chain BCW, as well as serving as the CEO of Pohjoisranta BCW. In a statement, Lehtinen emphasized the importance of a publicly accessible social festival that brings together individuals from politics, media, business, and various community organizations. He noted that this mission is particularly significant given the changes in Finland’s operating environment across multiple sectors in recent years.
MTV and the City of Pori have been organizing the Suomi Arena collaboratively since 2006. This year, the festival attracted around 50,000 visitors to Pori. The next Suomi Arena is scheduled to take place from June 24 to June 27 next year.
