IDF initiates targeted raids against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has announced the initiation of “limited, localized, and targeted raids against Hezbollah targets” in the border region of southern Lebanon.

In Syria, multiple areas around the capital, Damascus, have reportedly come under aerial attack, according to state media. Syrian news agency Sana stated that “our air defense systems are intercepting hostile targets in the Damascus area.” Reports indicate that three civilians have been killed and nine others wounded in the attacks.

In the United States, the aftermath of Hurricane Helene has resulted in the confirmed deaths of over 107 individuals in the southeastern states. Significant destruction has occurred, with roads, homes, and bridges damaged across several states, prompting an extensive rescue effort. “People are in desperate need of assistance,” North Carolina’s governor stated on Sunday.
