Alma News Media plans to discontinue publications and reduce jobs in Finland

Alma News Media has announced plans to discontinue its publications Kauppalehti Option, Kauppalehti Faktan, and Mediuutiset. The company will initiate change negotiations related to these plans, which may result in a reduction of up to 30 full-time positions. Approximately 80 employees will be involved in these negotiations.

Juha-Petri Loimovuori, the director of Alma News Media, stated in a press release that the company’s objective is to further sharpen the news coverage of both Kauppalehti and Iltalehti.
