Rescue helicopter dispatched for injured mountaineer in Skorini, Sandoy, Faroe Islands

On Saturday afternoon, a rescue helicopter was dispatched to assist a mountaineer who sustained a leg injury. The incident took place in Skorini, located on the island of Sandoy in the Faroe Islands.

The injured man was subsequently transported to the National Hospital for medical treatment. This marks the second time this autumn that a helicopter has been deployed to rescue a mountaineer who has been injured.
