Electricity prices expected to rise in Scandinavia as weekend quiet eases

The price of spot electricity will rise on Monday after a quiet weekend. The average price for Monday is set at 9.5 cents per kilowatt-hour. The highest price will occur at 9 AM, when it exceeds 28 cents per kilowatt-hour. Higher-than-average prices are also expected in the early evening. These prices include a value-added tax of 25.5%. Typically, consumers also pay for electricity transmission in addition to the cost of the electricity itself.
