A young woman from Nordland has been charged in the Midtre Hålogaland District Court. She is accused of possessing 2,300 images and approximately 10,800 videos that sexualize minors and/or depict sexual abuse against children. Furthermore, she allegedly made these materials available to others.

The charges include three counts, with two focusing on child abuse. The first charge indicates that the woman used the messaging app Telegram for communication with others. Under an alias, she reportedly conversed with another user between December 2021 and February 2022, during which the other person sent her multiple images claiming to show sexual acts with his eight-year-old sister. The accused is said to have repeatedly attempted to persuade this individual to engage in sexual acts with his sister and expressed a desire to be present during these actions.

The second charge examines the large quantities of materials that the young woman possessed, which sexualize children. In her communications, she allegedly stated that a former boyfriend had abused his younger sister in her presence and expressed enjoyment in witnessing such events. In talks with another user, she purportedly mentioned wanting to have a child of her own for the purpose of abuse. She also indicated that having her brother and his wife move closer could be a potential opportunity, as they have a child.

In addition to the charges related to child abuse, the woman faces charges for possessing 1.5 grams of hashish and six tablets of Ksalol, a medication used for anxiety and sleep disorders.
