Kotkamills announces reduction of 29 employees in Finland

Kotkamills, a cardboard manufacturing company, has announced a reduction of 29 employees, with 21 being officially laid off. Additionally, eight employees have indicated their intention to resign or retire during the ongoing change negotiations. The results of these negotiations will be communicated by Kotkamills in an official statement.

Apart from workforce reductions, Kotkamills plans to reorganize its structure and operational methods to achieve cost savings. The company highlighted that future operations will prioritize flexibility and mobility across different work locations.

When the negotiations began, the initial estimate for staff reductions was up to 60 employees, affecting the entire workforce of the company.
