Monday 2nd September 2024 on 00:43 in Iceland

Residents in the upper neighborhoods of Kópavogur, Iceland, have been experiencing low cold water pressure today following a disruption at the Kópavogur Water Works. The issues arose this morning when the water pumps at a pumping station failed, leading to significant water shortages for many residents in the area.

Despite the repairs being completed after noon, authorities have indicated that it may take some time for the system to restore full water pressure. As of this evening, reports have indicated that a few residents still have little to no flow of cold water. The municipality is working diligently to address the situation and ensure that regular water service is resumed as swiftly as possible.
