Weather instability expected across Finland before sunny conditions return on Tuesday
The week begins with unstable weather, but a pleasant surprise arrives on Tuesday.
According to Yle meteorologist Henriikka Heikinoja, the instability is caused by a new weather front moving in from the west. On Monday, the heaviest rainfall is expected in Central and Northern Finland, while Southern regions will see less precipitation. In areas experiencing rain, temperatures will be around 15 degrees Celsius, while elsewhere, they will rise to approximately 20 degrees. Thunderstorms may develop, particularly in Central Finland and South Lapland.
As the evening approaches, the weather is expected to clear up across nearly all of the country as the front shifts eastward, although some showers may still occur along the eastern border later in the day.
Tuesday will be marked by largely sunny skies and dry conditions, with temperatures generally hovering around 20 degrees Celsius nationwide. The clear weather is set to continue into Wednesday, with temperatures remaining in the vicinity of 20 degrees. However, rain may return after Wednesday.
August continues in its usual manner, summarizes the meteorologist.
