Early voting in Finland’s parish elections ends today

Early voting in Finland’s parish elections ends today, Yle reported, citing the Finnish News Agency STT. Election day is Sunday, November 15.

Members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church elect representatives to the decision-making bodies of their parishes.

The incoming representatives will decide, among other matters, whether to raise cemetery service fees. Many parishes must also consider what to do with properties that need renovation or became surplus after parish mergers.
