Kringvarp Føroya (KVF) will discuss Israel’s inconclusive election and substance-use treatment on its Breddin programme on Friday.

Israel has counted the votes from Tuesday’s parliamentary election, but no clear winner has emerged. Neither the bloc led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor that of challenger Gadi Eisenkot can reach the 61 seats needed to form a majority government in the Knesset. Heini í Skorini, who holds a PhD in international politics, will join the programme to discuss what happens next.

The programme will also consider whether more working groups and needs assessments are needed on substance-use treatment, rather than moving ahead with 58 recommendations that have been ready for more than four years. Politicians Magni Højgaard of Sambandsflokkurin and Eirkur í Jákupsstovu of Tjóðveldi will take part. Breddin airs at 10 a.m.
