Swedish amusement parks Liseberg and Skansen may have suffered personal data leaks through their booking systems, SVT reports.
Skansen told Dagens Nyheter that unauthorised parties accessed information about people who booked tickets from October 23 to 26. The breach occurred at ticket supplier Visit. Skansen has warned customers to be alert to phishing attempts.
Liseberg also uses Visit, according to Göteborgs-Posten. The park’s communications chief, Clara Rosendahl, told the newspaper that Liseberg was working closely with the supplier, which had taken action. Liseberg urged customers to be cautious of emails and text messages asking them to click links, provide information or make payments.
No payment or card details were affected at either park. At Skansen, the information reportedly exposed included names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and details of ticket purchases.
It is unclear whether the incidents are connected. The reports come after vulnerabilities in the widely used PHP programming language were disclosed last week, prompting authorities and companies worldwide to take websites offline to reduce the risk of hacking.
