Tornio pizza dispute ends with man punching hole in restaurant wall

A customer in Tornio damaged a pizzeria and scuffled with staff after complaining about the toppings on his pizza, Yle reported.

The incident prompted a police response on Saturday evening. The man noticed as he was leaving that the pizza had different toppings from those he believed he had ordered. He began shouting and behaving aggressively, then punched a hole in the pizzeria wall.

When employees tried to calm him, a scuffle broke out. The man also punched and kicked the glass panels in the entrance vestibule, breaking several of them.

Lapland Police handled numerous other assault-related incidents over the weekend. Violent offences were reported in Tornio, Rovaniemi, Inari, Enontekiö and Kolari.
