A Swedish man described as a senior figure in the Dalennetwork has been extradited from Spain and remanded in custody in Sweden, prosecutor Ida Arnell confirmed to SVT.

Emin Muqa Kulic, 21, arrived in Sweden on Friday. He appeared at a custody hearing in Södertälje on Monday, where the court ruled he should remain in custody.

Kulic is suspected of a range of serious offences, including attempted murder, preparation for murder, aggravated weapons offences and involving minors in crime. The allegations also include aiding or inciting murder, aggravated assault, gross unlawful threats and causing public danger. One alleged murder-preparation offence is linked to Oslo and Horten in Norway.

He was arrested by Spanish police in early August, after SVT reported in the summer that he had been detained. Police have described him as a close associate of Dalennetwork leader Mikael Tenezos. Arnell said prosecutors believe Kulic was among those directing young people to commit serious violent crimes in Sweden.

Kulic was placed on Europol’s most wanted list in the spring on suspicion of offences including incitement and aiding murder, attempted murder, weapons offences and bombings. He denies the charges. His lawyer has declined to comment for now.
