Edit Ómarsdóttir takes seat in Alþingi

Edit Ómarsdóttir, a substitute MP for Viðreisn in the Northwest constituency, took her seat in Alþingi for the first time on Monday and swore an oath of allegiance to the constitution, mbl.is reported.

She replaces Viðreisn MP María Rut Kristinsdóttir, who will be away from parliamentary duties for some time.

Ómarsdóttir lives in Akranes and is a computer scientist with experience in running her own business, management and business development in the technology sector. She brings experience from the business community to her work in parliament.
