Firefighters removed a satellite dish that had come loose from an apartment building roof in Kópavogur, mbl.is reported.

The Capital Region Fire Service was called to Furugrund after the dish began swinging in strong winds. A yellow weather warning was in force across the capital region, with wind speeds of 13 to 20 metres per second, according to the Icelandic Meteorological Office.

A fire service duty officer said crews decided to take down the dish because it could blow off the roof. The danger has now been averted.
