KVF reports that Heilsutrygd has approved Heilbrigdi, an addiction treatment centre now based in Tórshavn, for five years. The authority says its premises are now fully suitable for addiction treatment.

Heilbrigdi first received provisional approval shortly before Christmas in 2021, when it was based in Velbastaður and needed to bring its premises up to standard. The approval has been renewed several times since.

Heilsutrygd says trees should be planted to limit the view inside for people passing by. Heilbrigdi has spoken with horticulturalists about the work. The authority also says access is limited, and Heilbrigdi has discussed possible ways to add parking spaces with Tórshavn Municipality.
