Foreign visitors made about one-fifth fewer trips to Finland this summer than a year earlier, but their total spending remained unchanged, Yle reported, citing Business Finland.

Visitors made more than 1.3 million trips from 85 countries. They stayed an average of four nights and spent a total of one billion euros in June, July and August.

Germany, Sweden and Estonia were the most common countries of origin. Business Finland compiled the figures from several sources, including Statistics Finland and interviews conducted at ports.
