Royal household releases portraits of Crown Prince Christian

Denmark’s royal household has released new official portraits of Crown Prince Christian to mark his 21st birthday, DR reports.

In the portraits, Christian wears the Royal Life Guards’ full dress uniform and the Grand Commander Cross of the Order of the Dannebrog. King Frederik awarded him the cross for his birthday.

Grand Commander is the order’s highest grade and is awarded only to members of the royal family who are already Knights of the Order of the Elephant. Christian’s birthday is being marked privately.
