Temperatures to reach 12C as rain affects much of Iceland

Rain and showers are expected in many parts of Iceland on Monday, with temperatures reaching 12C, mbl.is reports.

Southerly winds of 5 to 13 metres per second will bring showers to the south and west. In the north and east, southeast and easterly winds of 10 to 18 metres per second will bring rain until around midday. Winds will ease in the afternoon, when skies will clear. Temperatures will range from 6C to 12C.

On Tuesday, southwesterly or variable winds of 3 to 10 metres per second are expected, with showers. It will be mostly dry in the northeast. Daytime temperatures will be 4C to 9C, warmest in the south.
