The Faroe Islands’ economy grew by 1.9% in 2025, more than twice the 0.8% growth recorded in 2024, according to KVF.

Resource industries made the largest positive contribution to real value added, while manufacturing reduced growth, Statistics Faroe Islands reported. Gross domestic product at current prices was 29.5 billion kroner last year.

Growth in the Faroe Islands outpaced the European Union’s 1.4% in 2025, but was below Denmark’s 3.5%. Annual economic growth in the islands exceeded 3% in each of the years from 2021 to 2023.
