Strong winds delay departures at Keflavik Airport

Several flights from Keflavik Airport were delayed on Monday morning, partly because of strong winds, mbl.is reported.

The longest delay affected a Neos aircraft scheduled to depart for Lamezia in Italy at 8 a.m. It took off shortly before 10 a.m.

According to sources cited by mbl.is, the airline has internal rules stating that flights should not depart when wind speeds exceed a certain threshold.
