Due to a system malfunction, half of the A trains and E trains in local rail traffic will be canceled until further notice on Monday, according to Fintraffic’s rail traffic center. The A trains running from Helsinki affected by the disruption include departures at -03, -23, and -43, and from Leppävaara at -06, -26, and -46.

The rail traffic center reported that the system issue is located on the coastal line between Huopalahti and Leppävaara, where only three tracks are operational instead of the usual four. The disruption that occurred overnight between Helsinki and Espoo is likely to continue throughout Monday morning and afternoon. Fintraffic has indicated to STT that an updated assessment of the traffic disruption’s duration will be available by Monday evening.

As of now, no decisions have been made regarding Tuesday morning traffic. Fintraffic had previously estimated that the repairs would be completed by the night between Monday and Tuesday. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
