Havanna Luma Frandsen has created her own electronic dance music festival after failing to find one that suited her, DR reports. Prophecy Festival will take place in Sønder Omme in Billund Municipality, far from Denmark’s major cities.

The one day festival can accommodate 250 people, and 125 tickets have been sold. Frandsen says 100 tickets were needed for the event to break even.

EDM stands for electronic dance music and covers a broad range of genres that use electronic instruments. The festival’s programme is dominated by the style, which includes artists such as David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Martin Jensen and KATO.

“We are missing these festivals. They exist in our neighbouring countries, and Denmark has so many happy EDM fans. We want to help change that,” Frandsen says.

Her ambition is for the event to combine an oversized garden party filled with quirky details and a full scale EDM festival. Guests will also have time to socialise in quieter corners between concerts.

Prophecy Festival will be held on Saturday, September 19, after a pre party on Friday evening.
