Wolt revenue nearly doubles as profit reaches ISK 107 million

Wolt’s revenue almost doubled in 2025, rising from about ISK 630 million to ISK 1.24 billion, while the company recorded a profit of ISK 107 million, according to mbl.is.

The figures come from Wolt’s annual accounts for 2025, which were recently submitted to the Directorate of Internal Revenue.

Wolt’s service offering has expanded significantly in recent years. Nearly 200 businesses were working with the company in summer 2023, compared with more than 500 by late 2025.

About 60 Wolt couriers stopped working on Wednesday and protested their conditions outside the company’s offices. The couriers claim Wolt has reduced their payments and that, in some cases, they effectively lose money when making deliveries for the company.

Wolt has said that more couriers were available in August than demand warranted. This reduced the number of deliveries each courier could accept and consequently lowered their total earnings.

Company representatives have rejected allegations that Wolt engages in false self-employment. “The company has all the required permits and rights to operate as a marketplace with home deliveries,” Wolt said in a statement.
