Three people were held in custody after police responded to fights and several other disturbances overnight, according to mbl.is.

Police station 3, which handles cases in Kópavogur and Breiðholt, was notified that a group of adults was pulling out rubbish bins, searching through them and leaving them behind. Officers went to the scene and spoke with the group.

Police were also called to a fight involving three people at a petrol station in western Reykjavík. The case is under investigation. A separate fight involving young people was reported at another location and is also being investigated.

Officers received a report of a break-in at a garage. The alleged offender was caught a short distance from the scene, arrested and placed in a cell.

Police were further called about a man behaving improperly in a car park. He was testing some kind of siren on his vehicle, wearing a balaclava and carrying a megaphone. He appeared to be in an altered state. The man was asked to stop, which he did before leaving the scene.

The incidents took place between 5pm on Wednesday and 5am on Thursday. Three people were in custody early Thursday morning.
