Reykjavik authority recalls rice and two food supplements

Reykjavik’s Health Authority has recalled River White Rice and two Gulið miðinn food supplements, mbl.is reports.
Danól, in consultation with the health authority, has stopped sales of the rice and recalled it from consumers. The product was distributed only to Samkaup stores and may contain foreign objects, including insects.

Best before: 2 June 2028
Net weight: 1 kilogram
Country of production: Belgium
Consumers who bought the product are advised to stop using it and discard it. They may also return it by sending a photo of the packaging showing the relevant date, together with the buyer’s information, to [email protected].
Heilsa ehf., also in consultation with Reykjavik’s Health Authority, has stopped sales and recalled the Guli miðinn Husk and Guli miðinn Colon Cleanser supplements.
The recall is due to raw materials used in the products containing pyrrolizidine alkaloids above permitted limits.
