Police take over investigation after fire at Toppstöðin

Police have taken over the scene after firefighters completed their work at the Toppstöðin building in Elliðaárdalur, mbl.is reported.

The Capital Area Fire and Rescue Service left at about 9:30 p.m. after checking for any remaining embers and ventilating the building, according to a duty officer.

The police investigation division is now examining the scene and investigating the cause of the fire, which broke out earlier in the afternoon.
