Police seek witnesses after shots fired near father and son’s boat
A 47-year-old man and his six-year-old son had their fishing trip interrupted after hearing several shots fired close to their boat in Køge Bay, DR reports. The man reported the incident to police and brought the boat ashore.
Midt- and West Zealand Police, a police district, found several spent cartridges on land at the end of Billesborgvej by Køge Bay after responding to the report at 5.53pm.
“This is a very serious report. Several shots were fired over the water and came close to the boat where a father and son were present,” deputy police inspector Søren Danielsen said.
Police searched the area during the evening with several patrol cars and police dogs. They had no specific suspect and are asking anyone who was in the area around 5.53pm to come forward.
No one was injured.
