Seven media outlets receive 1.47 million kroner in wage support

Seven media outlets have received a total of 1.47 million kroner in support for wage costs for the 2025 accounting year, broadcaster KVF reported on Thursday.
The seven applicants paid a combined 18.7145 million kroner in wages last year.
The annual allocation for media support is 4.9 million kroner, of which 30 percent is used for wages.
The outlets named by KVF are Miðlar, Sosialurin, Dimmalætting, Norðlýsið, VP, Vágaportalurin, EYP, Eysturoyarportalurin and JN, Jóanis Nielsen.
