Icelandic prime minister to deliver policy address before parliamentary debate

Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir will deliver her policy address at 19:40 on Wednesday, followed immediately by a parliamentary debate, mbl.is reports.

The debate will take place in two rounds. Frostadóttir will have 12 minutes to speak, while the other parliamentary groups will each have six minutes in the first round. In the second round, each parliamentary group will have six minutes.

Independent MP Guðmundur Ingi Kristinsson will speak at the end of the first round and will have five minutes.

The speakers are scheduled as follows:

The Social Democratic Alliance: Kristrún Frostadóttir, prime minister, in the first round; and Alma D. Möller, health minister, in the second round.

The Independence Party: Guðrún Hafsteinsdóttir, the second MP for the Southern Constituency, in the first round; and Jens Garðar Helgason, the third MP for the Northeast Constituency, in the second round.

The Reform Party: Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, foreign minister, in the first round; and Daði Már Kristófersson, finance and economic affairs minister, in the second round.

The Centre Party: Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson, the second MP for the Northeast Constituency, in the first round; and Bergþór Ólason, the fourth MP for the Southwest Constituency, in the second round.

The People’s Party: Inga Sæland, minister of education and children’s affairs, in the first round; and Ragnar Þór Ingólfsson, minister of social affairs and housing, in the second round.

The Progressive Party: Stefán Vagn Stefánsson, the fifth MP for the Northwest Constituency, in the first round; and Þórarinn Ingi Pétursson, the 10th MP for the Northeast Constituency, in the second round.
