A Faroese MP says Denmark’s Ministry of Justice must get involved in the case against Bakkafrost, which is now time-barred, KVF reports.

Bjarni Hammer, a member of the Social Democratic Party, has questioned Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen about the case. A shortage of staff is among the reasons the police and prosecution service took so long to bring it before the courts.

“I want to know what went wrong and how we can get this important institution working again,” Hammer said.
