Police suspect electric scooter rider deliberately hit child in Oulu

Police suspect that a man deliberately rode an electric scooter into a child in Oulu on Sunday, Yle reports. The child suffered minor injuries.
The incident happened in Kaukovainio between 6.05pm and 6.16pm, according to eyewitnesses. They said a man dressed in dark clothing had intentionally ridden towards a child walking along the edge of a cycle path. The caller said the man had tried to cover his face.
Witnesses also told police that the man had previously tried to hit another child but missed. After the collision, he fled towards Suohaukantie and also tried to hit a couple walking at the end of the cycle path.
Police are seeking information about the incident. The suspect is described as a man about 180 centimetres tall and around 30 years old. He was wearing black cargo trousers, a black jacket and a black baseball cap. He also had a black backpack and was riding a green electric scooter towards Suohaukantie.
