Leaders of Denmark, Greenland and the Faroes meet in Nuuk

According to Kringvarp Føroya, the second meeting of the year between the leaders of Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands will take place in Nuuk, Greenland, on Monday. The Danish prime minister, Greenland’s premier and the Faroese prime minister will discuss cooperation within the Danish realm.

The cooperation council will meet on Tuesday. Established in 2021, the council’s agreement states that the three countries in the realm should discuss foreign policy, security policy and defence policy issues through the council.

The Faroese representatives are Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen and government ministers Aksel Johannesen and Bárður Nielsen.
