Three Swedish districts could decide Kristersson’s next four years

Three electoral districts could determine whether Ulf Kristersson gets four more years, SVT reports. A few thousand votes may prove decisive.

“On election night, I will keep a particularly close eye on one specific district,” SVT election reporter Fouad Youcefi says.

The parliamentary election on 13 September is expected to become a battle over Stockholm. The capital is especially important for the Liberals’ future in parliament, as well as for the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats’ prospects.

The result for the country as a whole could ultimately depend on a small number of voter groups. SVT’s report highlights so-called “Magda-Moderates”, high-income earners and one very small district.
