Danish IT company Netcompany has signed a deal worth nearly 1.9 billion kroner with NHS England, according to DR.
Under the five-year partnership, Netcompany will operate and further develop the digital systems supporting the NHS’s national adult screening programmes.
The partnership begins this September and covers all seven national adult screening programmes, including those for breast, cervical and bowel cancer.
The agreement is intended to help detect diseases earlier and make it easier for people to access healthcare services.
“We have secured one of the most ambitious digital tasks in the English healthcare sector and are strengthening Netcompany’s position as a critical societal actor in Britain,” Netcompany chief executive André Rogaczewski said.
The Danish IT company has previously delivered services in Britain.
