The Pohjois-Savo District Court in Kuopio has sentenced a woman born in 1984 to 10 months of suspended imprisonment for a sexual offence against a child, Yle reported. The woman must also pay the child 2,000 euros in compensation for suffering.
The victim was 13 or 14 at the time of the offence, which took place on social media.
According to the court’s public summary, the woman sent sexually explicit images to the child on Snapchat and proposed having sex. She also persuaded the child to send partially nude photographs.
The woman had, among other things, sent the child a photograph of her bare breasts. The image contained the text: “What would you like?”
The public summary does not state when the offences took place or whether the woman knew the victim before their messaging began.
The ruling is not final and can be appealed to a court of appeal.
