Škoda Transtech dismisses 117 workers after restructuring talks

Škoda Transtech, a rail equipment manufacturer in Kajaani, will dismiss 117 employees after its restructuring talks, Yle reports. The company may also introduce targeted temporary layoffs if necessary.

When the talks began, the company estimated that declining work could affect up to 200 employees. The negotiations aimed to safeguard the company’s competitiveness and adjust its operations to market conditions.

The dismissed employees will be offered change security services required under Finnish law. The company will hold individual discussions with all employees covered by the restructuring talks.
