Woman dies after car crashes into tree in Helsinki

Yle reports that an adult woman died after the car she was driving collided with a tree in Pohjois-Haaga, a district of Helsinki.

The woman died while being taken to hospital, police said.

The crash occurred on Santavuorentie. Police received a report of the accident through the emergency services centre at about 8.30am on Monday.

Police have not commented on what led to the crash. They are investigating the death to determine its cause and said they would not release further information.
