Driver flees police by car and on foot

A driver who ignored a police order to stop was caught after fleeing first by car and then on foot, mbl.is reports.

Capital Area Police used the patrol car’s emergency lights to signal the driver to pull over, but he did not comply. He stopped a short time later and ran from the vehicle, but officers caught him soon afterwards.

Police said the man was unlicensed and under the influence of narcotics. He also had drugs in his possession. The police log said the case would follow “standard procedure” but gave no further details.
