Small and medium-sized enterprises in Finland are reporting improved financial conditions and greater confidence in the future, according to Yle, citing the business advocacy organisation Suomen Yrittäjät.
About 1,000 SMEs responded to the organisation’s survey, and 47 per cent described their financial situation as good.
Confidence in the future also increased, Suomen Yrittäjät said.
“The outlook has improved clearly, which bodes well for the economy and employment. Confidence in the future brings investment and jobs,” said Mikael Pentikäinen, chief executive of the organisation.
Pentikäinen said entrepreneurs’ confidence had been weakened by the war in Ukraine, recent United States tariff policies and the deteriorating situation around the Strait of Hormuz.
