The system used in Mykines, where local guides advise visitors, should be tried elsewhere in the Faroe Islands, Bryndis í Dali, development manager at Visit Vágar, told Kringvarp Føroya.
The number of tourists visiting the islands continues to rise. While most visitors respect nature and follow the procedures in place, some fail to show sufficient restraint, according to í Dali.
She said the local guiding system in Mykines could be introduced in other parts of the country.
