Southern Iceland to be warmest as rain affects the north

Southern Iceland will see the warmest conditions on Friday, while rain is expected in the north, mbl.is reports. Northerly winds of 5 to 13 metres per second will prevail, with mostly cloudy skies across the country.

Some parts of northern Iceland can expect rain through the day, but skies will gradually clear in the south and west. Temperatures will range from 5 to 10 degrees in the north and east, reaching up to 20 degrees in the south.

On Saturday, winds will be light and variable, with partly cloudy skies and occasional showers in the south. Temperatures will range from 8 to 17 degrees, with the warmest conditions in the southwest.

In the capital area, northerly winds of 5 to 10 metres per second and cloudy skies are expected during the early morning, followed by clearer conditions. Saturday will bring light winds, partly cloudy skies and temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees.
