Yle’s 17:00 news broadcast disrupted by technical fault

Yle’s 17:00 television news broadcast was cancelled on Thursday after a sudden technical failure disrupted live transmissions shortly before 17:00, the broadcaster reports.
The fault occurred during Yle Novosti’s broadcast and also prevented the sign language news and the 17:00 television news from airing.
Sanna Tornivaara, head of Yle’s news production services, said the issue had now been resolved and apologised for the disruption. The 18:00 news is expected to air as normal.
